Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! As it is once again Friday, it is time for another Let’s Talk Bookish edition. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books and Dani @ Literary Lion. This weeks topic is all about how I make my posts and what goes into them!
It has taken me a long time to develop a posting schedule that I am happy with and that I find manageable. Especially heading into my third year at University, I have had to get extremely organised to make sure everything goes up on time. It is something that I am still learning, and something that I think is going to continue to evolve as I grow as a blogger.
Most of the time, I try and make sure that I have written most of my posts at least a week in advance, so I don’t forget about them, as sometimes I have a brain like a sieve. It also means that I am less likely to run out of time for a post, especially those that take slightly longer than others, like this one. I think this just helps me make sure that everything is done and I haven’t got to worry about it. The only posts that I cannot do in advance are my book reviews, as I am normally finishing the book the night before the review is due up. This is something that I am aiming to change over the summer, so I have got a stockpile of reviews lined up, and I am putting less pressure on myself.
The vast majority of my post are done in one go rather than over a couple of days. I think this is because when I am in the writing mindset, it is much easier for me to push through, and that way, I will not forget what I want to say. The only posts that sometimes take me a little bit longer are my Top Ten Tuesday posts, as sometimes I need a little bit of time to come up with my answers. I also think that this is down to the very busy schedule that I have as I only have a couple of hours to come up with my posts for the whole week, so I have to be quite efficient.
I know it is a bit of a short post for today, but I think that my posting process is quite standard and not that random. Let me know what your posting process is below!
