WWW Wednesday – 16th June 2021

Hey Everyone, I hope you are doing well! Welcome to my WWW Wednesday post for this week. WWW Wednesday’s is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and all it involves is answering three simple questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I am technically not reading anything as I finished my most recent book last night! But the book that I plan to pick up later today is Only, Mostly, Devastated by Sophie Gonzales. I have heard some really good things about this book, so I can’t wait to give it a go. It’s a LGBT semi-retelling of Grease, and I am really excited to see what that is going to be like. I seem to be on a bit of a young adult contemporary kick at the moment, but we will see how long that lasts.

The most recent book that I finished reading was Some Girls Do by Jennifer Dugan, and when I say recent I mean twelve hours ago. 😂 I really liked Some Girls Do as the characters weren’t perfect and they had their flaws which I appreciated. I also adored that one of the characters, Ruby loved cars, which is rarely seen in any sort of fiction. I have my full review of Some Girls Do coming out tomorrow, so be sure to check it out if you are interested.

What do you think you’ll pick up next?

Next I plan to pick up This Fragile Earth by Susannah Wise. But I may also try and squeeze in The Bone Way by Holly J. Underhill if I have time. I have heard some brilliant things about both books, so I am intrigued to finally get to them. I do have to prioritise This Fragile Earth as it is a book for a book tour which I am taking part in next week, but I am hoping there will be time for me to get lots of reading done.

That’s what I have been reading the past, what about you? Let me know in the comments below!
