WWW Wednesday – 19th May 2021

Hey Everyone, I hope you are doing well! Welcome to my WWW Wednesday post for this week. WWW Wednesday’s is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and all it involves is answering three simple questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I seem to have come out on the other side of my reading slump so I am currently reading Spellslinger by Sebastian De Castell. So far I am loving it and it is such a quick read which really surprised me. It is the first Sebastian De Castell book that I have read, so it has taken me a little bit of time to get used to his writing style, but know that I have I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I am hoping to be finished with it today which is extremely quick for me. I highly suggest Spellslinger as a book to pull you out of a reading slump.

The most recent book that I finish was King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. I did enjoy my time reading this book and it was nice to be back with characters like Zoya and Nikolai who had not been seen since Ruin and Rising. The big problem that I had with King of Scars was how disjointed the two storylines felt from each other, but I am hoping that it will clear up in the sequel.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The next book that I plan to read is Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. I am looking forward to reading this book and have heard some amazing thins about it. It is also DoTheThingAThon hosted by Ashleigh @ A Frolic Through Fiction next week, and the only aim is to cross of some of your reading goals from the year, so I am to read some of books I hauled in 2020. But I have not decided which ones yet! I will link the Twitter account for DoTheThingAThon if you are interested in taking a look.
