Top Ten Tuesday – Most Recent 5 Star Reads

Hey guys, it’s Tuesday again so it means it’s time for Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. I have decided to change this week’s topic a little bit as my April Wrap Up only went up yesterday which features nine out of my ten most recent reads. So I have decided to go with my ten most recent five star reads!

The Bone Season, The Mime Order, The Song Rising and The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon

The Bone Season series is another set that I adore. I love the complexities of the world and the intricacies of the plot. As soon as I pick it up I am fully emerged in the story and the characters. Paige was also one of the first demisexual characters that I saw on the page which I love.

A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

It is no secret how much I love the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. It is one of my favourite series of all time, so it is not surprise that all of the books have received 5 stars from me. I am yet to pick up A Court of Silver Flames, but I am sure when I do I will love it just as much.

Take a Hint, Dani Brown and Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

Get a Life, Chloe Brown should also be included with these two but it technically was within the last ten 5 stars that I gave out. I adore Talia Hibbert’s writing style and the amazing characters that she creates. All of her books have so much representation in them and I love them so much.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I loved Crooked Kingdom, maybe even more than I loved Six of Crows. I loved the development that all the characters go through, even if the book did break my heart in the end. The plot is so intricate and detailed, and I loved finding out all the schemes just as the characters did.

There you have it, my slight change to this week’s theme. Let me know what your most recent 5 star read was in the comments.

  1. A nice change on the theme! I sort of agree about Crooked Kingdom — although it can be a heartbreaking read there’s something so readable about a heist and a group of characters you now know and love executing it.

I really need to read Talia Hibbert’s books. Everyone seems to love them!
