Hey guys, it’s Tuesday again so it means it’s time for Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is book titles that sound like crazy crayon colours.
I had fun with this topic and there are some crazy crayon colour names out there already. I have tried to come up with a varied list but I am quite boring so they may not be the best!
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas – Dark, Rich Blue
I have visions of a crayon called A Court of Mist and Fury being a dark, rich blue which is almost black. Sort of the colour you get with a starry night sky.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo – Burnt Copper
Don’t ask my why but I imagine a burnt copper/orange crayon called Crooked Kingdom. There is nothing in the name that particularly inspires it, it just jumped out at me.
Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman – Dark Grey
I feel like this is an easy one by I would love a dark grey crayon called Obsidio.
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon – Multicolour
This is another easy one, but I would love to imagine a crayon that had every colour of the rainbow mixed into one.
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson – Emerald Green
I could imagine a crayon called Elantris being a rich emerald green colour. I just think it fits so perfectly.
Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell – Purple
Don’t ask me why I was inspired for this one but I could imagine a purple crayon called Winter’s Orbit.
The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon – Red
I would love to have a red crayon called The Mime Order, I think it just fits the vibe perfectly.
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff – Mustard Yellow
I think a crayon called Darkdawn would be perfect for a mustard yellow colour, like the colour the sky is when the sun is just rising.
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman – Blush Pink
This is another easy one but I would love a pink crayon called Heartstopper, it would fit the vibes of the book and the colour perfectly.
Blood and Honey by Shelby Mahurin – Rich Red
I think Blood and Honey would be the perfect colour for a rich red, that also looks the colour of blood.
There you have some of my picks, I had so much fun coming up with these colours!
A Court of Mist and Fury sounds so pretty.

I really like that you didn’t do books with colors in the title. The way you describe each book’s color is so intriguing! Great list 😀

All of the ACOTAR books could fit well as crayon colours.

Great post! I love that you’ve put the colours you imagined next to the book titles. I think Elantris & Winters Orbit are my faves 😀

Great picks! I almost went for Blood & Honey cos I thought it’d be a cool crayon colour as well. Could definitely picture a vibrant red with maybe like flecks of gold or yellow 😍
