Hey guys, it’s Tuesday again so it means it’s time for Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is book written before you were born.
I was born in 1999, so I do have quite a few to choose from. I am going to pick books that I have not read yet, so think of this as a mini TBR.
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo

Les Misérables was first released in 1862.
Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

Assassin’s Apprentice was originally published in 1996.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

Pride and Prejudice was originally published in 1813.
Daughter of the Forest by Juliette Marillier

Daughter of the Forest was originally published in 1999.
Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin

Game of Thrones was originally published in 1996.

High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
High Fidelity was originally published in 1995.
The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was originally published in 1996.
Outlander by Diana Gabledon

Outlander was originally published in 1991.
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice

The Witching Hour was originally published in 1990.
Good Omens by Terry Prachett and Neil Gaiman

Good Omens was originally published in 1990.
There you have it, my TBR of books published before I was born.
P&P and Les Mis are both books well worth reading. Don’t give up if you don’t read them the first time you try.

I was born in 1995 and lots of books I read were published before I was born. Well, actually Les Mis wa published 1862. I love the old classics- so it is of no surprise that many books I love came out before I was born

Ive always wanted to read Pride and Prejudice and Les Miserable only because of the hype it gets but I’m unsure that it’s my cup of tea

I don’t think that I will love Pride and Prejudice when I end up reading it, but I really want to do it for the experience 😀

“Pride and Prejudice” is one of my favorites. And I have a few of these — “Hitchhikers” and “Good Omens” and “Game of Thrones” — on my TBR as well. Great list!

Game of Thrones is a series that I really need to read because I feel that I am so far behind the hype, I’m hoping I can get to it this year!

Daughter of the Forest looks like exactly the kind of book I would have loved in high school — I’m surprised I never heard of it. Really surprised, now that I see the number of Goodreads ratings! I thought I knew everything.
